Francesco comes from a family that has been cultivating almonds since 1900 in the heart of the Alta Murgia National Park. Specialising in the finest almond products, Francesco is passionate about sharing the rich history and flavors of his family’s grove. Assisted by holistic operators Rocco and Marica, he offers a unique wellness experience that combines traditional almond cultivation with the art of holistic massage, using cold-pressed sweet almond oil produced by himself.

1. Face-Shoulder massage (a relaxing oil treatment for the face, neck and upper shoulders using different oriental techniques like the Chinese acupressure ‘jin shi do’ for scalp treatment)
2. Earth-Sky massage (a relaxing oil treatment for the feet (‘earth’) and head (‘sky’) using foot reflexology techniques and other enveloping manual techniques followed by a face and scalp treatment)

Your wellness journey will begin in the beautiful almond grove near Poggiorsini, surrounded by century-old almond trees. This serene setting in the heart of Alta Murgia National Park offers a perfect backdrop for relaxation and rejuvenation.
At first, Rocco and Marica, trained holistic therapists, will help you to relax with a 45-minute massage. You can choose from two types of treatment: the Face-Shoulder Massage, which focuses on the face, neck and upper shoulders, or the Earth-Sky Massage, which includes foot reflexology and a relaxing face and scalp treatment. Rocco and Marica will use Francesco’s cold-pressed sweet almond oil, which has soothing, toning and moisturising properties.
After your massage, Francesco will take you on a tour of his family's almond grove. During the relaxed walk, you will learn about the history of almond cultivation in the area and appreciate the natural beauty that changes with the seasons.
You will conclude your experience with a tasting of a variety of almond products paired with other local delicacies like olives, taralli, cold cuts and local cheeses, focaccia, lentils, an almond cream cake, local wine and a fresh almond milk drink with ice. At this point, you will have time to chat with Francesco and ask him all the questions you want to learn more about his story as a producer of organic almonds.
