Michael, natural wine producer
American by birth and Apulian by adoption, Michael has an innate passion for the world of fermentation and natural wine. Together with a group of friends (all ex-brewers), he started a winery in 2019 that produces refined and excellent natural wines. Without ever ceasing to experiment, they now produce more than 15 different wines, including some made using the classic champenoise method.

Michael will welcome you into the heart of the Apulian countryside, where there was once a farm for raising dairy cows, later abandoned, and which has now become a winery. The land is cultivated strictly according to organic principles and, in the vineyard, everything is done by hand, from the management of the vines to the harvest.
At the beginning of the harvest experience, you will go straight to the vineyard where, together with the grape-pickers, you will experience picking the grapes by hand between the rows of vines. This will be an exciting and unique moment, symbolic of an ancient tradition that only a few quality-conscious wineries carry on. Michael will also explain how he and his partners take care of the vineyard organically.
Next, getting to the heart of the wine making tour, you will return to the winery to watch and participate in the winemaking process. Michael will explain and involve you directly in the grape inspection and selection. You will roll up your sleeves to handle a few crates of freshly harvested grapes.
After completing the hands-on work, Michael will then take you on a tour of the cellar, explaining the entire transformation process from grape to fermentation, ageing, refining and bottling.
At the end of the harvest experience, you will be able to relax during a guided tasting of 6 natural wines, accompanied by an Apulian aperitif consisting of the typical “focaccia a livre” from Sammichele di Bari and olives. Here, you will have time to chat with Michael and ask him all the questions you want to learn more about his story as a natural wine producer.
