Giuseppe has an extensive resume in haute cuisine, with experience gained all over the world. In 2016 he returned to his beloved Puglia, where he first worked as a chef in the most prestigious hotels and then started his own cooking business. His aim is to promote the food and wine culture, especially that of Puglia, using quality ingredients from certified, local producers.

1. cooking class of Potatoes rice and mussels (iconic Bari dish combining land and sea) & Cialledda with frisa (fresh salad of seasonal vegetables)
2. cooking class of Focaccia (Bari street food dish) accompanied by mozzarella or caciocavallo cheese & Summer wheat soup (made with raw grains, vegetables and seasonings; can also be fish or meat based)
3. cooking class of Panzerotti (fried Bari street food; stuffed with tomato and mozzarella, or ricotta cheese and chicory) & Fava beans and chicory (traditional peasant dish of legumes and vegetables)
4. cooking class of Onion calzone with olives (a calzone stuffed with... onions) & Pasta with mussels

Giuseppe will welcome you to the main urban food and drink lab in Bari. It is a real academy whose trainers include the Apulian avant-garde in the fields of cooking, cafeteria, bakery, bar mixology and more. But it is not just a school, it is also a bar with a sophisticated atmosphere. A true hub of quality and innovation.
At the beginning of the cooking class, Giuseppe will tell you his fascinating story about being a chef, which has seen him cook in restaurants all around the world. He will then show you the ingredients that you will use to prepare your lunch and explain the recipes that you will prepare together.
Next, getting to the heart of the cooking experience, Giuseppe will guide you through the preparation of the menu that you have decided to cook. Don’t forget to let us know your choice from the options listed above well in advance, as well as any allergies, intolerances or other requests you may have! Our menus are adaptable for vegetarians, vegans and coeliacs.
The chef experience will end with a tasting of the dishes that you have all prepared together during the cooking class, accompanied by a drink. During the lunch, you will have time to chat with Giuseppe and ask him all the questions you want and learn more about his story as a globetrotting chef.

Cucinare insieme allo chef Gigi e Loliv è stata un’esperienza fantastica! Abbiamo preparato due piatti tradizionali: focaccia barese e riso, patate e cozze partendo da zero e utilizzando ingredienti locali e di qualità. Gigi è una persona squisita e affascinante e ci ha spiegato tutto quello che c’è da sapere sulla scelta degli ingredienti, i dettagli della preparazione, i tempi giusti e anche qualche “segreto”. È uno chef di grande esperienza e grazie alla sua passione ci ha fatto apprezzare la cucina pugliese. Inutile dire che gustare i piatti che abbiamo preparato insieme appena sfornati, è stato meraviglioso e assolutamente delizioso, vivamente da consigliare.
